  • Lab Results

This link takes you to a great website with lots of information on lab test results.   Once at that site, you may search for the test you are interested in by typing the name into the search box in the upper right corner.  For example, type in 'CMP' and it pulls up the 'Comprehensive Metabolic Panel'.  Click on this listing, and it gives you the full text information.

  • IMT

This is an ultrasound test of the carotid arteries in the neck.  It looks for cholesterol deposits and can measure them to the micrometer.  It also measures how old your arteries are, called 'vascular age'.  This can help determine if cholesterol is an issue for you, how to address it, and complements blood cholesterol testing.  It can be repeated over time to see if your arteries are improving or not.  Dr. Eads has arranged for a high quality IMT mobile scanner and technician to come to her office once a month because she found the alternative yielded lesser quality and misleading results.  It takes ten minutes, costs $200, and many insurances reimburse you for it.
