How do I refill my prescription?

When you have run out of refills, it most likely is time to check in with Dr. Eads about the condition for which you take that medicine.  Depending on the situation, this appointment may take the form of a Phone Visit, online Virtual Office Visit, or a traditional Office Visit.  Ask Dr. Eads what is appropriate for you if you are unsure.

For continuing prescriptions, please contact your pharmacy, whether local or mail-order, to begin the renewal process.  This is much more time efficient as the pharmacy then contacts Dr. Eads with all of the necessary information, and thus allows her to handle your refill request expediently, and communicate with the pharmacy in a format they prefer.  Mail Order Pharmacies may not like the electronic format of the presciptions typically generated by Pinnacle Family Medicine to fax in, so it may work best for you to mail in a printed prescription from Dr. Eads.  Please monitor your medication supply responsibly - you should not need to call Dr. Eads between appointments or after office hours for refill requests.
